Do you want to be part of a great product execution team who have a lot of exciting projects/products in the pipeline? Do you see yourself working with decarbonizing vessels in service with our MAN 2-stroke engine? Last, do you have commercial mindset and project management skills? As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for executing our Retrofit & Upgrade orders to our customers all around the world in cooperation with up to 10 service hubs worldwide.

What am I going to do?
You will be responsible for the order execution of a variety of our Retrofit & Upgrade solutions. MAN Energy Solutions’ retrofit standard portfolio consists of a broad range of products, all with the purpose of optimizing the two-stroke engines in operation. This means working on providing customers with solutions for lowering running costs, improving availability and meeting modern emission legislations.

You are expected to be handling approx. 20-30 single orders/bulk orders per week (for ~15 different customers) continuously, where your service mind, fast pace and systematically work will be of crucial importance. We work in SAP (our ERP system) as our project and order handling tool, so having an SAP experience will be an advantage for you to succeed in this position.

More specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible from order confirmation in SAP to product installation delivery to the customer
  • Follow-up on product delivery status with purchasing & shipping department
  • Prepare and coordinate service jobs with customer and superintendents
  • Be responsible for closing projects and final invoicing
  • Create various reports for customers (in excel or PowerBI)
  • Able to handle demanding customers with high workload of activities and high expectation of immediate support/actions
  • Participate in customer meetings together with key account and sales managers
  • Develop and own project/order execution processes

Who am I?
You are used to and thrive in a growing working environment where you have a lot on your plate. You have a good technical understanding and commercial mindset, maybe previous experience working in the marine industry, so you can put yourself in the shoes of the customer and understand the journey the customer is going through after ordering a Retrofit & Upgrade solution with us. Your project management skills are on an intermediate to high level and you are used to communicating with both internal stakeholders and customers with your excellent English skills in both speaking and writing.

In an ideal world, we imagine that you:

  • Have experience with executing of technical projects/products or product orders 
  • Are used to handle and monitor component flows in SAP system  
  • Have a strong stakeholder management and communication skills and are comfortable interacting at all levels in the organization
  • Are structured, proactive and result oriented with focus on quality in your daily work
  • Have a technical background like Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer or similar (preferred, but not mandatory)

How is my new team/area of business?
You will be part of the Product Execution team. The project managers are executing all the orders we receive from the standard Retrofit & Upgrade product portfolio. We are a diverse team of skilled and dedicated people, focusing on product management and project management. Your future colleagues are situated in Holeby, Frederikshavn and Copenhagen. We have a professional approach to our work, while having a humorous, casual and positive environment in the team.

This particular position will be based in Copenhagen, where you will join our team of sales managers, coordinators, product managers and project managers all dealing with retrofit’s standard product portfolio.
