Femern A/S is responsible for the planning, construction, and operation of the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel. Femern A/S is a subsidiary of the state-owned Danish company Sund & Bælt Holding A/S, which is also responsible for the Oresund Link and the Great Belt Link. Our common goal is to build the 18 km long Fehmarnbelt Tunnel, the longest immersed tunnel in the world, by 2029. It will connect the German island of Fehmarn with the Danish Island of Lolland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing construction activities, particularly in the construction of railway and highway routes including bridges and underpasses.
  • Reviewing execution plans and work instructions, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinating contractors and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating external engineering firms and internal specialist departments.
  • On-site monitoring of contractor performance and reporting on progress.
  • Liaising with all relevant stakeholders and authorities.
  • Primary location in Puttgarden on Fehmarn, with occasional business trips to Rødbyhavn and Copenhagen.

Your Qualifications:
You need to be openminded and like to expand your horizon. You need to be a team player and a good communicator.

  • You have a degree in civil engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Ideally, you have professional experience in managing complex projects or handling large construction sites.
  • You are a communicative team player with an analytical mindset and initiative, coupled with a high sense of responsibility.
  • You have fluent German and good English skills.
