Project Manager internship in Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM)

About the department
Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) is responsible Novo Nordisk’s outsourced production. The primary role of GCM is to manage the production and supply chain activities of external manufacturers delivering high quality products to patients all over the world. You will be part of the Business Support team, which is responsible for driving and facilitating cross-departmental processes and projects to support the core business of GCM. We work closely together with the Management team to identify and execute strategic projects with the purpose of improving processes and increasing transparency in a complex setting.
We are a team of 13 dedicated colleagues with an international mindset, who value humour and teamwork. You will join our group of 8 interns and student assistants working closely together to execute tasks and share knowledge.
During the entire duration of the internship you will be assigned to the Project department, which will provide the exciting opportunity to support and collaborate with a team of 13 experienced professionals. You will also work in close collaboration with all the other departments in GCM (Operations, Project Management, Quality Assurance). Specifically, in this position you will focus on project assistance, supporting GCM PMs in projects involving different global suppliers and focusing on planning, facilitation and process optimization. You will be assigned a various range of tasks that will help you develop knowledge on project management and best practices. You will be in dialogue with many stakeholders at all organisational levels, inside and outside Novo Nordisk, and gain valuable insights on how a project is initiated, carried forward and completed.
You will, to a smaller degree, be involved in the tasks in Business Support. The nature of a Business Support department is that recurring processes and ad-hoc assignments goes hand-in-hand, so as an Intern you should be ready to take on different kind of tasks with varying complexity.
You can expect to be involved in various tasks, which to the degree possible will be related to your study, experience and preferences. You will receive continuous feedback on your work, and we will support you in building a network beneficial to your professional and personal growth.
- Internship period: 6 months (with the possibility of a 6-month extension)
- Working hours: The internship position is flexible 18-37 hrs per week
- Start date: October or November
- A Danish full-time work permit is required
- Enrolment in a Bsc. or Msc. is required
- Internships are remunerated if the study tracks allows
You are studying a Master’s Degree, most likely within engineering, business administration, economics or a related field of study within social sciences. You have a strong interest in project management and related activities and a structured and analytical approach to assignments. You like to take on new challenges. You are ambitious, have a high level of drive and a “can-do-attitude”. You take initiative and have a good understanding of complex processes. You work in an independent way and are a quick learner. You cooperate in a professional manner with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation and bring a positive attitude to the department and projects you work on. You are fluent in English and a highly experienced user of MS office. You get energy from delivering results and have a willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.
