Who we are
We are a dynamic team in GEA Process Engineering’s Chemical Division working worldwide with delivery of Spray Drying Absorption (SDA) systems within the power and waste-to-energy sector as well as in industrial flue gas cleaning. We cooperate with a global network of selected partners to deliver SDA plants to our customers with a maximum of local supply.

The GEA SDA team located in Soeborg, Denmark, is responsible for process design and supply as well as core components. We support our partners in exploring the markets and the opportunities in a direct dialogue with the customers and assist them during the start-up and commissioning phase of the projects.

We are continuously improving the SDA process and solutions through customer feedback, R&D as well as process optimizations using our in-house CFD tools. In order to maintain and increase our market share we are now looking for a new Project Manager.

Job profile
You will mainly be responsible for coordination of specific SDA projects and will be GEA’s face towards our licensees and partners either independently or in collaboration with GEA’s local Regions & Country representations. You will have direct customer contact and coordinate commercial and technical matters from project kick-off until commissioning and handing over to the end-users; the latter will include onsite activities and requires 40-50 international travel days per year.

You master all project management disciplines including general planning, time scheduling, conduction of project meetings, invoicing, claim management, internal coordination with workshop and logistic department, documentation, onsite training, education of licensees, etc. You work in a structured way and organize the above disciplines so that the projects are being executed as specified and on time to the clients’ satisfaction at scheduled costs.

Being a world market leader within spray drying absorption our customers and partners expect that we are experts within our field, which as well counts for a Project Manager/Coordinator. Based on your educational background as marine engineer or mechanical engineer, we will establish a training program to introduce you to the specifics of our technology and offerings.

You will be appointed certain department ad-hoc tasks as well as you will support the sales team in the final stage of sales projects.

Personal profile
To succeed it is essential that you 

  • are a strong communicator with commercial insight
  • hold a degree as a marine engineer or a degree in mechanical engineering.
  • have more than 5 years’ experience from the power/waste-to-energy industry or other relevant industries. Alternatively, you have a similar length of experience from project execution related to flue gas path solutions to customers within relevant segments.
  • have a deep interest in technical and process areas and are using your combination of commercial knowledge and technical skills in this project coordination role
  • master English on high level and are able to carry out negotiations in English in foreign cultures.

As you simultaneously will work on a numerous EUR 0.5m – 2.0m projects we expect that you organize your work accordingly.
