Join the APC Dairy Powders and Nutritional Formulae EMEA Team located in Søborg, Copenhagen. You will be a key player in ensuring that GEA maintains our leading position providing solutions and technologies to dairy customers worldwide.
Our team specialises in the integration of equipment from many different internal and external suppliers to deliver complete processing lines customers. Delivering the best factory to take liquid milk and create a range of powder products. Our projects range in size from small scale-ups to the largest in the world.
Using your strong background in energy and utilities you will play a key role in integrating different GEA technologies on large powder plant projects. On complex projects, you will focus on the energy and utilities consumptions and distributions of different technologies. Implement and improve engineering best practice. You will engage with many different stakeholders from customers, sales engineers, suppliers and your surrounding colleagues with the goal of ensuring a “first time right” approach to the sales and detailed engineering of these large projects. You will join a team of highly skilled colleagues in the fields of evaporation, drying, and project execution, and gain a high level of exposure within GEA and with some of our most valued customers.
Some of the key areas of focus will be:
- Calculating energy and other utilities consumptions on new projects
- Owning the best practice and standards for utilities installation and distribution, and related costing
- Managing request for quotations and supporting procurement in the engagement of third party suppliers
- You should expect approx. 60 overnight travel days per year. Traveling to new installations, participating in sales and technical meeting with customers, and also to work with our colleagues who are located across Europe and the world.
For this position you will have a strong background in utilities engineering, an out-going personality, eye for detail, initiative, and above all else, a relentless passion to always improve.
Our environment is fast-paced with multiple tasks to manage simultaneously, which will require you to work in a structured manner and be able to prioritise. We place a high value on professional integrity and expect high performance. You must enjoy working in a team and communicate fluently in English. It is a plus if you have mastered a second or third language.
Some of the following experience is also seen as desirable:
- Experience working in a large project environment
- Experience in the design and execution of steam/condensate networks in production facilities
- Experience with detailed calculations, measurements, verification based on a production plant
You have a relevant master’s degree in engineering; such as chemical, process, mechanical.
Full professional proficiency in English. Danish and German is considered an advantage.
