The Dairy CLS Team currently consists of more than 15 people. We are a very experienced team focusing on optimising dairy customers' plants globally in terms of performance, sustainability, safety and quality. As a Centre of Competence we are responsible for the technical and processing excellence within Dairy and Infant formula.
GEA is market leader in dairy processing where drying and CLS are designated strategic key areas within the GEA business. The primary focus of our group is to facilitate mid-life updates, upgrades and increase capacity for existing customers in close cooperation with our Sales department.

If you have recently completed your education or have a few years’ experience with project management, then you could be the person we are looking for in our Execution Group.
The Job
As Project Engineer you will act as a Project Manager on smaller projects, participate in larger projects and even be responsible for parts of larger projects, in cooperation with the Project Manager.
You will participate in project meetings with the customer on site, as well as starting up the delivered equipment when handing it over to the customer.
Most of your work will be conducted from the office, but a part of the job includes travelling for shorter or longer periods of time - about 75 days/year.
You will begin as a mentee and learn from experienced Project Managers. As you gain more experience you will get more and more responsibility and thus be involved in larger projects.
The work is carried out in accordance with our project management model, which is heavily based on the PMP model. The work consists of all the necessary PM disciplines, in order to ensure a perfect delivery to our customer.
As Project Engineer you will be working closely with our internal resources such as Project Managers, our test station, Supply Chain, Component Engineering, Process Control, After Sales and colleagues in other GEA offices.
Externally you will be working with Suppliers and Customers.
In Customer Lifecycle Support we work very close together with Sales and we overlap each other in the project from sales phase to execution phase. This means a part of the job could include sales activities.
In short you:
- Execute sub-tasks of projects
- Act as Project Manager on small and simple projects.
- Verify technical inputs
- Make technical decisions in cooperation with Project Manager
- Make contact with suppliers in questions of design and procurement
- Specify and order drawings, components and project documents, incl. data sheets and specifications, item no’s., purchases via PAX, ordering of articles, drafts for technical assistants.
- Participate in customer meetings, inspection, start-ups.
Your profile and qualifications:
We are looking for a person who is proactive and not afraid of taking initiatives. As a Project Engineer it is important that you have the ability to work successfully with and within teams and that you have a systematic and methodological approach to work assignments.
You have a Bachelor or Master's Degree within Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Construction or Technical degree). If you have prior experience within project management it is an advantage but not a requirement.
You must be fluent in English. Our corporate language is English and all contracts and communication with customers is in English. Mastering Danish and other languages is a plus.
The position is based in Soeborg, Copenhagen.
