Project Director for driving strategic objectives and delivering integrated high-quality logistics

Can you lead the most ambitious product line programme in the industry?

Join us and become Project Director in Logistics Product Line where you’ll be responsible for driving strategic objectives through a portfolio of product line projects in close coordination with other product lines and asset projects. You’ll lead a team of four cross-disciplinary senior project managers (Module Group Owners), ensuring consistent development across module groups to secure the delivery of optimised and integrated logistics. Logistics Product Line is responsible for developing optimal logistics for all offshore installations and logistics and site investigation for our global pipeline.

As Project Director, you’ll report to a steering committee consisting of senior management from key areas of the business. 

Your key tasks will be to

  • deliver integrated high-quality logistics to asset projects; on time, on cost target and in a safe way
  • deliver long-term cost-out for logistics in accordance with key strategic objectives
  • drive the development of relevant global and local supply chains in accordance with key strategic objectives
  • lead and develop the Product Line leadership team through empowerment, clear KPIs, prioritisation and feedback
  • ensure efficient reporting to and involvement of the Product Line Steering Committee on key strategic objectives and decision points. 

Furthermore, you’ll drive integration across module groups to ensure the delivery of fully-integrated logistics for asset projects. You’ll also align and assess the impact of project pipeline changes and ensure that Product Line portfolio projects are adapted accordingly as well as securing alignment of different disciplinary activities, e.g. engineering and procurement.

In addition, you’ll secure alignment of the strategic objectives of Logistics Product Line with a variety of internal stakeholders and participate in establishing clear agreements across market development, project development and asset projects. Finally, you’ll have the overall responsibility for the entire scope of the project portfolio and project support activities.

Your competences include that you

  • have a master’s degree in engineering or in the commercial field as well as solid technical understanding and preferably relevant experience from the offshore wind industry
  • have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a cross-disciplinary team in a dynamic environment  
  • have several years of experience, including technical or commercial management with exposure to external stakeholders and senior management
  • have a financial, legal and technical understanding of and experience with delivering complex projects
  • have gained hands-on experience with all phases of product development or similar. 

Furthermore, you have solid project management experience and in-depth knowledge of international project management standards such as PMI, IPMA or PRINCE2, as well as having experience with stage-gate divided project execution. You should have a proven leadership track record and team management experience from large, complex technical projects, preferably from a strong matrix organisation. You have strong business acumen and understand the key drivers and levers that influence business performance. You speak and write English fluently and are innovative, can manage change and are constantly looking to challenge the norms to boost performance.
