In Novo Nordisk Diabetes API, we have increased the automation level of our processes. Thus, if you are looking for a career in the pharmaceutical industry where you can apply and enhance your skills within automation system support, we have the opportunity for you at Novo Nordisk site Kalundborg, Purification Plants, the heart of API manufacturing.
The Position
As Automation Supporter, you will be responsible for supporting and coding our production execution systems LMES (Local Manufacturing Execution Systems) and SattLine (Process Control System). We use LMES to run our production recipes and to gather data for our batch reports. SattLine is an ABB system we use to monitor and control the process in the individual production units. Both systems are mature and will be replaced in the coming years with state-of-the-art MES and PCS applications. Thus, the job offers an opportunity to become part of upgrading your production IT platform.
Initially, your tasks as Automation Supporter will be to:
- Support our daily operations and contribute to the effective execution of our production processes
- Support deviations in production via troubleshooting and system tests
- Develop and code new updates to SattLine and/or LMES to optimise our production processes
- Qualify & document the changes in the system and ensure that the QA Department approval.
- Collaborate with operators and supporters to analyse and identify possible optimisations
- Develop plans for the updates you will be coding, carry out testing and ensure the change has the desired effect
As you will be working with production, you will have broad opportunities to develop your skills and engage in hands-on experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Qualifications
- An Educational background in Computer Science, Automation Technologist or a self-taught programmer.
- Advanced experience in programming/coding in production-related systems or have a strong interest to learn.
- Experience with LMES -or- SattLine will be advantageous; also, experiencer with GMP or Pharma Production preferred.

We work in a GMP-regulated environment, and it is, therefore, essential that you never compromise on quality, standards and safety. As a person, you are proactive, work independently and have a solid drive to get things done on time and collaborate with your colleagues and stakeholders.
It is essential you have good communication skills and can communicate effectively across the organisation and levels.

Days in the automation support-team are rarely the same, and your workdays will be diverse with a mix of both daily operations, troubleshooting, support to projects and sparring with colleagues and peers in other parts of the organisation.
