Production Manager – Project Execution for Marine Decarbonization Solutions

What am I going to do?
As PVU Production Manager – with reference to the PVU Project Manager –  you will be responsible for planning and managing outsourced production of an increasing number of PVU´s.

But what is a PVU?

The ME-GI/GIE Pump Vaporize Unit (PVU) is a standardized high pressure pump unit for supply of LNG or ethane to the pressure and temperature required by the MAN B&W two-stroke ME-GI/GIE engines.

You will be handling multiple units in production simultaneously and ensure that production plans are adhered to and updated through production management and planning. You will work closely with among others the purchasing department, production site, external certification companies, FAT and Commissioning Manager etc.

You will be handling a variety of tasks such as:

• Preparing and managing a detailed production plan
• Maturing current outsourced single production method into series production
• Preparing overviews and help ensure all components are in-hand before production start
• Ensuring required level of quality before handover to FAT and commissioning
• Preparing reports to PVU Project Manager and Line Managers
• Re-scheduling of production based on agreed changes, in close cooperation with PVU Project Managers
• Overseeing and following-up on variation orders related to production
• Facilitating weekly status meetings & follow-up with project stakeholders

You will be working from our Danish head office just by Copenhagen’s harbour front at Teglholmsgade 41.

Who are you?
We are looking for a Production Manager with good knowledge and experience within the maritime sector and how to manage series production.

Your knowledge on how to manage outsourced production and how to transform into series production is what will make you a success in this role. It will be an advantage if you have experience with marine engines and pumping skids through production industry, though this is not a prerequisite. You also have a keen interest in developing the way we work with production and projects, and your ambitious nature is not settled with “good enough”.

How is my new team/area of business?
You will be part of our fast growing PVU team which today consists of 5-6 colleagues located in Copenhagen. The team is responsible for executing PVU projects from contract signing to assemble / test and commissioning period and finally system delivery to customer.

You will be reporting to the Department Manager in Project Execution, currently counting approx. 20 staff, having undergone significant growth during the last 5 years, which is set to continue with the growing focus on decarbonizing shipping.
