Product Owner with UX designer skills

The job
FOSS R&D Software is looking for a Product Owner to join our department of more than 90 software professionals including our outsourcing partner. You will join a project team of 8 professionals consisting of both developers and testers working on software applications for analysis of raw milk samples.

FOSS has Raw Milk Testing solutions in operation in more than 80 countries including first-in-the-world innovations. Parameters we are able to measure at high speed are quite impressive: Fat, Protein (true & crude), Casein, Lactose, Solids (SnF & TS), Urea, Citric Acid, Free Fatty Acids, Fatty Acids Profle, Freezing Point Depression, pH, Ketosis Screening, Adulteration screening (untargeted model), Somatic Cells, Individual Bacteria Count, Differential Somatic Cell Counting.

Exciting new development projects are a general renewal of our user interface and defining requirements for a new generation of one of our marked leading instruments, which requires intensive interaction with customers and stakeholders.

Primary tasks
As our new Product Owner you will be responsible for the overall UX experience of the solution. You will collect the – often different – requirements from stakeholders and facilitate dialogues to ensure there is common agreement on the final choices. You have an important role being the voice of the customer and user in both  projects and user experience focused activities.

You will represent software during concept design as well as:

• Be responsible for feature designs
• Support the development team with clarification of feature designs
• Contribute to backlog prioritization and grooming
• Perform PO testing and
• Host stakeholder demos
• Plan and executes usability tests
• Being our new Product Owner means that due to your efforts our solutions are developed providing our customers with good UX experiences.

Qualifications
You have a degree in engineering or have an in depth understanding of complex systems. We expect you to be interested in hardware and have experience with product development combined with an ability to document requirements.

In addition you have:

• Experience with UI design for both PC, tablets and mobile applications
• Knowledge of UX methods and tools for user centered design, e.g. the holistic outside-in on FOSS products, workflow mapping, personas, etc.
• Good Danish and English skills - both oral and written.

You enjoy “visiting” colleagues and domain experts to gather information and you are probably well off in your career, eager to prove your skills and deliver results.

The role gives you the possibility of being self driven and governed. You are able to handle this because you are structured, have an analytical mind and the ability to handle “many incoming calls”. You master the art of simplicity and are good at navigating in areas of multiple interests.

You will be part of R&D SW, which counts 65 professionals in DK Hillerød. Additionally, FOSS has 25 professionals working with an outsourcing partner in St. Petersburg. The software and tools are based on Microsoft .NET and TFS technologies.
