Product Line Manager - Biogas

Join us and become Product Line Manager for Biogas in our Projects department in New Bio Solutions (NBS) which is responsible for pursuing new growth within bioenergy. Renescience is an innovative new technology within waste recycling, of which biogas is an essential part. Our goal is to be the world leader within sustainable, efficient and intelligent use of the resources in waste from households, farming and forest. Another important ambition of NBS is to build, own and operate industrial biogas plants. This position is a newly created position based on the ambition of Ørsted in biogas area.

We are part of Bioenergy & Thermal Power which has 800 employees and is one of three business units in Ørsted. We own just below half of the thermal production capacity in Denmark and are at the forefront of the development within efficient use of biomass and reduction of environmental impact through innovative bio-refining technologies.

At NBS, the Product Line teams are the bridging links between Technology department and Asset projects, where process concepts are engineered and materialized for plant design and construction. As the Biogas Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for defining the development roadmap for Biogas Product Line. You will also function as the Module Group Owner for anaerobic digestion (AD) plant design.

Your overall role will be to lead the Product Line and Module Group teams to continuously develop and deliver increasing performance of Biogas Product Line and AD plant in close cooperation with Technology, who is developing proprietary new biogas concepts, and Procurement departments. Towards Asset Projects, you are responsible for delivering Biogas Plant basic design packages and supporting the project team throughout design, construction and commissioning phases.

You will be based at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia. Some travelling activities are expected.

Your key tasks will be to

• develop technical and commercial roadmaps for Biogas Product Line and own all module-based business case input assumptions, fact base and development lever data within Biogas Product Line
• continuously update and deliver basic design packages to Asset Projects through knowledge sharing and teamwork with partners from other departments (Technology, Operations, and Procurement)
• secure interface alignment between modules within Biogas Product Line as well as with other product lines and ensure close coordination with important stakeholders (Technology, Sales, Procurement and Operations)
• evaluate, select and follow up with suppliers in cooperation with Procurement for sourcing of standard AD plant module and secure documentation of basic design packages
• take on technical management, approving, supporting and coaching roles for your Product Line and Module Group teams on daily basis

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

• have an engineering degree and a strategic mindset
• have proven knowhow in developing and upscaling a new technology to large scale production based on solid professional background in engineering design, preferably related to the field of anaerobic digestion or waste water treatment
• are experienced in managing complex projects, able to create good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and thrive in an international environment. Experience as design manager for industrial plant is an advantage
• have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks and strong time management skills
• speak and write English fluently
