Product Development Graduate to VELUX® Modular Skylights
At the VELUX Group, we give you the chance to grow. To shape your own career. To work in an international environment. To be part of a company that leads the market in sustainable indoor living. We offer you a world of opportunities – if you have the ability and the drive to take them. Discover more at velux.com/career or velux.dk/karriere
Do you have a genuine interest in the building industry? And would you like to work in an international, fast-paced and dynamic environment?
Then this two-year graduate position in our VELUX® Modular Skylights (VMS) team in Østbirk could be the kick-start of your career.
VMS are fully prefabricated configure-to-order skylights and flashings used in commercial buildings, including offices, public buildings, educational institutions and residential properties. Every order is different which causes high complexity in handling product specification. Thus, we need the right candidate to develop and maintain the right systems to ease the access and support both VMS sale and production.
As our product development graduate, you will join the Product Specification (PRS) team (part of VMS Product Development) and your main focus will be construction & process development within the area of product specification. The PRS department is overall responsible for creating our product single source of truth documentation and basic product regulations. Furthermore, it is the operation center for daily operations with a vast interface to the other departments.
You will follow a structured two-year plan where you will gain hands-on experience on the technical side of our business within the areas of:
- product development, testing and project management
- process development, technical solutions, specification and documentation
- master data, product change management, tailormade custom solutions and BIM objects
Furthermore, as part of the VMS team, you will be involved in various operational tasks to support the overall development of the VMS business.
As part of the product development graduate programme, we will agree on a development plan that fits you – and our mutual ambitions. Together, we will continue to develop your talent for construction & process development, and our ambition is that you will be able to take on a key position within VMS in the course of two years.
We use SolidWorks 3D and SolidWorks-based programs such as CAM, PDM, Composer, Simulation, DriveWorks and Ansys for complex simulations. In addition, Microsoft Office is a natural part of our daily tools to create single source of truth documentation. For BIM objects, we are using Revit and ArchiCAD.
As a part of a global organisation, you can expect to travel 10-20 days annually.
- You are a recent, or soon to be, graduate, with a technical degree within i.e. engineering, manufacturing technology or systems engineering and can document excellent grades.
- You speak and write Danish fluently just as you manage English skills on a high level.
- It would be an advantage if you know your way around 3D modelling software and configurators.
You have a hands-on approach to business and are not afraid to take on new tasks or operate in new areas. In general, you are comfortable dealing with complex tasks under high uncertainty, and you are ready to embrace changes while remaining calm in the process.
As a person, you are a team player, possess great drive and communicate and collaborate easily with people from different cultural backgrounds - both internally and externally. It is important that you can navigate within a matrix organisation with many different stakeholders and that you can achieve results in this type of environment.
In addition to operating at a highly professional level, our VMS team is characterised by an informal tone and a healthy sense of humour. We work as one team to reach our ambitious results. We believe in empowering people, and we support this through sharing knowledge, delegating responsibility and investing in people who strive to make a difference.
The VELUX Group offers exciting challenges, great opportunities to influence your own development and an attractive international working environment with competent and committed colleagues where mutual respect and commitment are among the core values.
