If you have a technical background and up-to-date experience from working with Lean and/or Six Sigma in an industrial manufacturing company and/or consulting company, you now have the opportunity for a job with massive influence and impact on our manufacturing site in Copenhagen. We are a cornerstone in a fast growing and high performing company. We have started optimisations based on Lean principles and methods and we want to take our performance management to the next level. You will play a major role in this exciting operation and being an important part of our production management team you will have a major impact and an excellent opportunity to grow.

Drive a Lean mind-set and implement new tools and processes
As part of our management team at our site in Copenhagen your focus will especially be our business critical production unit Product Supply within the Food Culture & Enzymes and Health & Nutrition divisions. Your target is to achieve excellence in our Supply Operations by driving an overall Lean mind-set and by implementing new tools and processes. Furthermore you will be assigned to important projects of both technical, business critical and organizational nature. As such, your primary tasks will be to:

  • Drive our performance management agenda in our Copenhagen Plant
  • Analyze data and identify improvement opportunities - and turn these into improvement projects run by you
  • Manage cross functional improvement projects
  • Own the management reporting activities for the Copenhagen Plant
  • Standardize and implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Train colleagues and managers including planning and facilitation of workshops
  • Share knowledge and learn from colleagues on Chr. Hansen facilities outside Denmark
  • Provide hands-on support at the manufacturing level for improvement of operations and processes
  • Contribute to the further development of the global lean programme

Across your activities you will have a close dialogue and collaboration with ambitious Lean Managers on improvement activities. You can look forward to travel 1-2 weeks per year to meet colleagues and partners at our factories in Denmark, France, Germany and USA.

Technical profile with hands-on experience within lean and/or Six Sigma
You have a technical education as Engineer or similar. Your previous career has provided you with some years of updated experience from an industrial company with own production units and/or consulting company where you worked hands-on with lean and/or Six Sigma – in a role as main driver of projects and processes. As such, you are used to manage projects and/or drive improvements. If you have experience from food and/or pharma it will naturally benefit your application but it is not a prerequisite for applying.

You have an analytical and structured approach to the problem-solving processes and you know how to transform your observations into new tools and processes. Related to this, you can ask the right questions and use your coaching skills to inspire the managers to find the solutions themselves – and to see the benefits of supporting your change agenda. In this you will naturally need all of your communication and stakeholder management skills. Finally, you must speak and write English proficiently.
