About the department

You will be part of the Digital & Projects Students team within our Manufacturing Development area. Main responsibilities for the team are supporting and optimizing all parts of the production, using robotics, IT, data, and Lean, from the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients, all the way through packaging to finished products. We are currently on a journey towards becoming even more data driven in this role and are looking for the next technological solutions for our production processes.

However, as this role aims at changes processes on the shopfloor you can expect to also spend time physically in our production facilities interacting with process experts and our equipment daily.

The position

We are looking for an innovative cross functional student to support our senior project managers and engineers with projects across Novo Nordisk (NN) sites.

This position will provide you insight into the complexity of pharmaceutical production and cGMP (current good manufacturing practice). You will be the key person, identifying the optimal solution and ensuring, together with your team, the correct implementation as well as the final hand over to production.

An extensive pipeline of relevant projects exists, ranging from automating manual loading process, implementing autonomise vehicles to finding custom made solutions for complex assembly steps. The nature of these projects is allowing both, either an internship for 4-6 months or a longer employment as a student assistant where you spend 8-16 hours weekly on supporting us.

You will be the teams face in the production department where the project is being implemented and have your daily work there. All projects will be anchored in Gentofte, where other students and NN colleagues will be working on different projects. Here you have opportunity to discuss and spare with colleagues facing other challenges. Your work will be part of the NN way to reduce the impact of repetitive manual tasks, optimise processes, and improve safety and quality across the entire value chain.

Qualifications

We need engineers that are willing to go outside the box, ask questions, and question the status quo. We anticipate that you will be curious and able to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as eager to learn and participate.

At least one of the following areas is familiar to you; Collaborative Robotics, Process Optimisation, Virtual or Augmented Reality, Mechanical Design and Simulation, Data Access and Architecture, Machine Vision and Image Recognition, Version Controlling and Continuous Integration, Networking Protocols.

Able to drive a project from idea to implementation, when facing challenges, and know how to ask for help. We don’t expect you to solve every problem alone! You find it natural to work closely together with the end users and understand the value of spending time to understand their needs.

You are well-organized and can arrange your work to meet deadlines. Fluency in both written and spoken English. As a big part of your role will be in production it will be beneficial if you also understand Danish.
