The Food and Beverage area in NIRAS is in rapid development to support the growth and sustainable development of the Food and Beverage industry. We support Danish and global Food and Beverage companies within a wide range of food plant design and sustainable development projects in order to help them meet their business goals.  

Our Team 
The international Food & Beverage Team in NIRAS consists of a large team of almost 200 employees. The team's ambition is to become the best at advising on the design of sustainable facilities, CAPEX projects and optimization of lean production. 

We aim to deliver high quality to our customers with the help of NIRAS' wide range of experienced experts. It is an inspiring environment where few days are alike, and where our work is carried out with professionalism and in an intense team spirit. 

The team works from offices in Denmark, UK and The Netherlands. The position may include travelling activities. Stationing in the other offices or abroad is also a possibility. 

The Position 
We expect you to contribute to small and large CAPEX projects helping deliver state-of-the-art solutions and project services through team work. As a Process engineer we expect you to contribute with: 

  • Master plans, concepts and plant expansions for food and beverage industries
  • Process calculations and equipment sizing
  • Preparing or reviewing of process descriptions and diagrams 
  • Preparation of tender documents and evaluation of tenders for new plant equipment for greenfield or brownfield projects of all sizes
  • On-site supervision and assistance during installation or commissioning
  • Quality improvement and process audits

Part of Your Professional Profile? 
The ideal candidate will fulfil these requirements: 

  • You have a degree in process engineering(food-, brewing- or dairy engineering) and might have 1-3 years experience from the food & beverage or consulting industry. 
  • You have analytical skills and have experience with projects as well as preferably some operational experience
  • You possess good technical knowledge and skills
  • You possess good written and oral English skills – preferably combined with one other major language
  • You are familiar with the Microsoft Office package, as a minimum Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and preferably Project

For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to be enrolled in our 2-year graduate program. You will in this program receive a quarterly module teaching alongside hands-on job training '.  You will be challenged both to increase your professional competencies and to a large extent also your personal development, so that you get a kickstart in your career. 

The graduate program is based on eight modules, each covering different subject areas within food, pharma and life sciences. The modules will include teaching within production-relevant subjects such as: GMP, documentation, processes, validation, robot technology, project management, personal development and LEAN as well as work in hygienic environments.
