Center for Energy Informatics at University of Southern Denmark invites applications for a 2 years postdoc position. The starting date for the position is as soon as possible, and it will be agreed with the successful candidate. 

About the position
The research focus of the postdoc position is to develop ontologies for the digital energy ecosystem to facilitate the digitalization of the energy sector. The research will focus on the characteristics of the digital energy ecosystem, and the internal and external factors that impact the digital energy ecosystem.

About the research environment 
Center for Energy Informatics is an interdisciplinary industry-oriented research and innovation center with an international outlook. The center focuses on development of innovative solutions that can facilitate the global transition towards a sustainable energy system.

About the candidate 
We are looking for a highly-motivated and ambitious candidate with excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken), who can work well in a team as well as independently and quickly acquire knowledge in new topics. The preferable candidate has knowledge of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and object-oriented programming.

Requirements for the position
Employment as a postdoc requires scientific qualifications at PhD level in engineering or natural science.

Applications will be assessed by an expert assessor. The expert assessor may request additional information, and if so, it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide the necessary material. Applicants will be informed of their assessment by the Faculty. 

Shortlisting may be used. Shortlisted applicants will be assessed by an assessment panel.

An interview might be part of the assessment process.

Conditions of employment
Employment as a postdoc is temporary. The employment will cease without further notice at the end of the period.

The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (start salary amounts to approx. 4.500,- EURO per months incl. supplements).

Research will be predominant in the position. Teaching assignments can be agreed individually. Furthermore, other types of assignments may occur to a limited degree.

The Faculty determines the distribution of the various assignments. The weighting of the different assignments may vary over time.
