Postdoc in Model-Based Design in a Cloud-based Collaboration platform
The Department of Engineering, Aarhus University, invites applicants for at least a 2 years postdoc position offering applicants an exciting opportunity to join a new H2020 research project: Digital Innovation HUBs and CollAborative Platform for cyber-physical systems (HUBCAP).

Job description/research project/research area
You are expected to contribute to research in the H2020 HUBCAP project.
The successful candidate will be involved in interdisciplinary collaborations with both international partners as well as internally with other researchers from the software engineering research group.
Applicants should hold a PhD in computer science, computer technology, computer engineering or similar relevant domain.
We are seeking candidates with a background in model-based software engineering. The candidates should have deep understanding of Model-Based-Design (MBD) and cloud computing concepts (AWS, Azure) such as virtualization, data handling, dataflows, load balancing and ability to understand cloud generated logs for troubleshooting. Further the candidate shall have background in cyber security covering concepts such as sandboxed execution, access control including federation based on Active Directory, authentication protocols (LDAP), authorization protocols (OAUTH2), firewall configuration and remote access via VPNs (IPSEC). The candidates shall also be able to create models for cyber security of a large cloud systems based on best practices and clearly communicate the cyber security solutions.
In addition, it is an advantage if the candidate has:
- Significant publication experience
- An ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of Continous Integration and DevOps approaches
- An understanding of the needs of MBD towards autonomy
About the Electrical and Computer Engineering Section
Electrical and computer engineering are closely related engineering disciplines that focus on the development of hardware and software for intelligent units and networks. This includes hardware at system and component levels as well as many different types of software for controlling electronic devices and networks.
The research areas within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Section at Department of Engineering support the development within this area. The outcome greatly influences our daily lives as advanced technologies are incorporated into an increasing number of products, for example in industrial processes, at hospitals and in information infrastructures.

Shortlisting is used. Formalities and salary range
Science and Technology refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Salary depends on seniority as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Confederation of Professional Associations.
