Do you want to help keep an entire company above water when a flood wave hits? You will be the one that provide IT contingency- and DR plans that make sure we are well prepared, and know what to do, when IT services needs to be recovered and, most importantly, to ensure GN Business continuity.

Supporting continuous growth
At GN, we balance scientific research with expertise across advanced headsets, headphones and hearing aids to make life sound better.

To support our continuous growth, we are replacing and modernizing several critical IT platforms and we are restructuring our global IT department. In this transformation, we have established your new team.

We want to be the best at preparing for the worst
When you enter the brand-new IT service management and quality team, we are welcoming you as part of a team, that help make the entire company tick.

“This is where we ensure effectiveness and quality throughout our global IT department by providing deep IT- and process knowledge of our shared services and deliveries,” says Kenneth Petersen, Senior Manager IT Service Management & Quality.

Acting on impulse is not what we want to do, when systems are down. As our Process Owner IT Service Continuity, your role in IT service management will be planning for the worst-case scenario. You are going to assess what risks we are facing, and then you provide exact contingency plans, and DR plans that makes our system recovery as smooth and swift as possible.

Besides that, you:

  • Test your plans and simulate possible outcomes
  • Provide guidance and training in proactive measures and other continuity-related issues
  • Act as the sole leader within your area and build relations with a wide variety of colleagues with different backgrounds and responsibilities

Making people look to you for answers
You are natural leader. When disaster hits it is obvious for your colleagues, that we are in control and that you can guide them. Even more important, before a disaster hits, you aren’t afraid of talking about it and getting your colleagues to appreciate the importance of your plans, training, and tests.

Your credibility comes from your knowledge of IT infrastructure, operations and how IT departments work together with, and support, business in general – and everything you learn from your colleagues during your risk assessments.

Also, you are:

  • In possession of 5 years of IT service management- or IT operations experience, alternatively you are an experienced infrastructure project manager.
  • Experienced in making contingency- and DR plans.
  • Educated and possess a bachelor or master’s degree
