PMO Coordinator for large research portfolio

Would you like to play a leading role in coordinating a portfolio of large research and innovation programmes in a unique collaborative network of university and oil and gas industry? Do you have solid knowledge of project management processes? Then you might be the PMO Coordinator for our Programme Management Office that we are looking for at DHRTC.
 
The Organization
DHRTC (Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre) was established in 2014 by DTU and the Danish Underground Consortium, a joint venture between Total E&P, Noreco and Nordsøfonden. DHRTC is an active partnership of five universities and research institutions: The Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Aalborg University (AAU), Aarhus University (AU), Copenhagen University (KU) and the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS).
The Centre has received a starting grant of DKK 1 billion for a 10-year period. As part of the National Strategy on Oil and Gas, the Centre makes an ambitious and targeted effort to improve oil and gas recovery while also working to reduce environmental footprints in the Danish North Sea.

The Centre operates in close collaboration with the industry and research institutions in Denmark and abroad. The Centre aims at stimulating cross-disciplinary collaboration and dialogue where insight in existing fields and technologies meets knowledge of new technologies.
 
The project portfolio currently counts six research programmes with nearly 200 ongoing projects and an annual budget of some 100 mio. DKK. Further, two programmes, amongst other addressing environmentally sustainable oil and gas recovery, are being framed for a 2020 start up.
 
The Team
You will be part of the Programme Management group, a team of experienced industry professionals. As responsible for the centres research portfolio, the team manages the research programmes by overseeing project progress, funding, technical relevance and by facilitating collaboration across disciplines, between research institutions and between researchers and industry.
 
Areas of responsibility

As PMO Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the programmes with coordination of the research portfolio including:

  • Tracking of programme status and progress at the portfolio level
  • Structure data and information across programmes, including budgets and forecasts
  • Facilitate programme management processes, including continuous improvements
  • Anchorperson for evaluation framework
  • Coordinate communication and reporting of activities to our stakeholders
  • Foster knowledge sharing, collaboration and community of best practices
  • Engage actively with DHRTC’s key stakeholders to promote strong relationships
  • Supervise and coordinate tasks for our student assistant

Our expectations to you

  • A relevant B.Sc or M.Sc. ideally supported by a relevant education in Project Management
  • Experience with project or programme management
  • Proactive with strong planning and organising skills
  • Structured with an eye for the details
  • A team player with strong collaboration and communications skills based on solid understanding of various stakeholder interests
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, a positive attitude and a high drive
  • DHRTC is a network organisation and the candidate should be willing to travel to partner institutions when need be
  • Expert in Microsoft Office package

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union. The position reports to the DHRTC Programme Director and the place of work is DTU Lyngby Campus.
