We are fully engaged replacing the entire signalling system on the Danish railway with new IT-based technology, ERTMS – an important contribution to a digital and green railway infrastructure.

We are hiring Planners with the ability and drive to contribute to a profound project planning, and to help secure a smooth, effective, and safe implementation of the new signalling system.

Denmark is the first country to implement ERTMS on a national scale. The replacement is organised in the area Signalling Programme, placed in the construction division of Banedanmark in which have a portfolio of projects to be completed by 2030 – in close collaboration with internal departments as well as international suppliers and consultants from across Europe.

As planner, you will be working as the Project Managers right hand and your responsibility will be to secure that the project plans are supporting and driving the progress of the project. You will also be involved in supporting the Programme organisation by securing interfaces to other parts of the organisation working with test, integration, safety, and training.

The Projects within the Signalling Programme are key deliveries for Banedanmarks overall plan and hence it will also be your responsibility to support the Programme planning and reporting.  You will also be involved in the continuous development and implementation of new planning concepts and -governance together with your colleagues in the planning team and in the PMO & VMO.

We offer a dedicated and professional planning environment along with skilled fellow planners and your work location is our brand new and modern headquarters near Dybbølsbro Station in Copenhagen.

Planning, analysis, and communication
Your primary task will be close monitoring and control of our supplier’s time schedules as well as creating and monitoring our own activities and resources. You will work in collaboration with the project manager and the rest of your project team providing support for the governance of contracts, finance, and risk management.

You will monitor and analyse deviations from the time schedules, causes and possible mitigations. Your tasks will involve interface management, monthly status reporting for management, and communication of time schedules for stakeholders and business partners.

With the right profile, you will be working with planning from a more analytical perspective thereby enabling us to address the planning discipline more strategically.

Independent planner with drive and project experience
You may have a university degree, a degree within engineering or another education with a focus on planning and project management. You have some years of experience with projects and knowledge of best practice management models such as PMI, PMP, PRINCE2, or MSP.

We expect that you have strong experience in planning in the infrastructure industry, and ideally you are experienced with the planning tool Primavera and/or Microsoft Project.

You are energetic and persistent of character, handling both internal and external stakeholders, and you can support both the project and management to choose the right moment to make reasoned decisions.

As part of an international environment, you will communicate with colleagues of many different nationalities. Our working language is English and/or Danish – both verbally and in writing.

Salary
You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
