Pipe System Design Engineer Student Worker (Brondby)
As Pipe System Design Engineer Student Worker, FLEXIBLES, Brøndby you will support FLEXIBLES Pipe System Design (PSD) Department on specific tasks dedicated as Student worker.
A Student worker shall have basic knowledge and competences in general design, calculation, programming and structures, ideally at M.Sc. level in order to support Pipe System Design Engineers in project work best possible. Handle tasks such as updating design guides, documents and templates. Support on the work related to the automation of tasks and database creation. In relation to competences Pipe System Design Engineer Student Worker report to Engineering Manager – PSD. Templates, guidelines and flowcharts must be followed to ensure correct handling. These are to be found in our BMS system. All of the above is based on close corporation with engineering, sales, project and/or factory departments.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support Pipe System Design engineers on project tasks
- Responsible of e.g. calculations related to the pipe system design engineering processes
- Support the automation of tasks to improve efficiency of tasks
- User of NOV tools and templates
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude and contributes to and promotes improvements
- Maintain knowledge on latest/updated NOV Corporate policies
- Travel as and when required
Qualifications:
- Technical University – Mechanical, Naval Architecture, Design of Structures, Fluid Dynamics.
- Completed BSc degree and doing MSc
Experience:
- Experience applying programming skills to solve academical problems
- Consolidated knowledge applying programming skills to engineering
Skills, training, or special knowledge:
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Previous experience related to programming using Python, Matlab, VBA or similar
