We are expanding our business. Consequently, we are recruiting talented, ambitious patent attorneys or patent attorney trainees equipped with a good sense for business and commercialization of R&D to our offices in Copenhagen and Aarhus.

HØIBERG is one of Europe's leading and most respected patent law firms in the field of intellectual property rights. We are the preferred partners of a wide range of world-class hightech, biotech/medtech and foodtech startups and R&D intense companies and universities around the world.

Being a patent attorney requires a high intellectual capacity and excellent analytical skills. We appreciate minds that are equipped with a curiosity for science and technology even outside your core area of expertise.

You preferably have a PhD and/or industrial experience in, for example, physics, robotics, nanotechnology, civil / electrical / mechanical engineering, energy technology, healthcare technology or computer science. If you don’t, please make your case as to why you would be a good fit   without one!

Your duties will include drafting and prosecution of patent applications, analysis of patentability, assessment of infringement and validity of patents, strategic IP counselling as well as assistance with licensing agreements, IP due diligence, litigation, etc.

You are a skilled communicator and aim to provide excellent and accurate service to your clients. You speak and write English fluently, and proficiency in Danish is a merit. You master the spectra from detail to the big picture. Protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights can be a lengthy process that requires both quick action and great patience. We expect you to be ready to defend our clients’ rights with the same passion as if the idea was your own.

In the absence of prior experience with patents, you will be offered a comprehensive training program during the initial 3-5 years leading to the degree of European Patent Attorney (EPA). A part of the training is conducted within the framework of your daily work, but you will also need to allocate a part of your private time to patent training during the coming years. Depending on your language capabilities and experience, you may expect to be involved in staffing our offices/representations in Aarhus, Lund, and Malmö.

We offer - An international and flexible workplace with an informal tone, attractive employment conditions and a salary corresponding to your qualifications. We are looking to fill this role beginning in September or October 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Applications should be sent by e-mail via the "Ansøg" link and marked "Patent Attorney” in the subject field as soon as possible and no later than 16 August 2021. Candidates may be invited for an interview on an ongoing basis. Please note that the application must be in English and should preferably be forwarded with copies of your university transcripts. If you want to know more, you are welcome to contact Peter Borg Gaarde at telephone number (+45) 3332 0337.

Please write in your application that you've seen the job at Jobfinder.
