The position
You will be part of a group of our best data science minds as well as a department with broad competencies within project execution. The future of digital laboratories, automated analysis, and better use of data is a key focus for us in DPD – and you can help. You will work closely with the Project Execution team, where you will assist with the creation and implementation of Business Intelligence tools throughout the area by using different advanced technologies and tools like Alteryx and Tableau. In this role, you will take part in bringing optimization and digitalization ideas to life. You will use the tools from your education to help identify the most beneficial projects and prove their feasibility using data analysis. 

Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to drive and implement changes based on the analysis you are working with. You will enjoy a high degree of independence in your work, and your success is dependent on your collaboration skills and ability to understand our landscape and processes. You will scope and plan the projects and deliver results alone or through collaboration with our best data science minds. The position will be anchored to the Project Office department and will reach out to our data science group and other local groups working with digitalization and automation.

The working hours will be 8 hours a week and the start date will be March 14th or as soon as possible. 

Qualifications and skills
You are currently studying, preferably your Master, within the field of natural sciences, economics, data science or similar. You have a strong interest and/or background in business processes, digitalization and automation. You have excellent skills within data analysis, as well as the ability to present and communicate your findings both visually and orally.

Ideally, you have a general knowledge of or experience with:

• Business Intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Qlik) 
• Programming in Python, MATLAB, and/or SQL, C++, C 
• Project Management disciplines 
• Robotic Process Automation

You have a strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative and responsibility for your own learning, as well as being able to meet deadlines and approach tasks in a structured way. 

About the department
The Project Office department is part of the Novo Nordisk Research & Development (R&D) family, developing novel analysis for drug candidates in clinical trials all over the world. You will be able to use your skills and talent not only in our department but across Drug Product Development optimizing and digitizing our processes throughout the value chain.
Our ambition is to be at the frontier of data and analytics, use the latest techniques and software to draw greater insights and future predictions from the data and thus making a significant impact on how we develop drug product formulations.
