About the department
Global Contract Manufacturing is a part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization and responsible for all Novo Nordisk contract and license manufacturing of semi-finished and finished drug products to global markets. Our main office is in Bagsværd, Denmark.

The primary role of Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) Operations is to monitor, control and develop the production handled by Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and ensure delivery of products from the CMOs to our respective customers. Our CMOs are located all over the world.

In GCM Operations, you will join a department of currently 16 highly dedicated and talented colleagues. We are responsible for all operation towards our CMOs and sourcing of products into Novo Nordisk according to the demand from our production sites and customers world-wide.

The position
Apart of working closely with the different operation managers, you will also have the opportunity to work with other departments in GCM such as Logistics, Project Management, Quality Assurance or Business Support.

You will be assigned a various range of tasks that will help you develop knowledge on operations and supply chain management. You will be in dialogue with many stakeholders at all organisational levels, inside and outside Novo Nordisk, and gain valuable insights into some of the core processes related to handling of external manufacturers.

Additionally, in GCM we have established a network of interns to ensure cross-collaboration between areas and building new capabilities locally, while at the same time ensuring personal growth for all our new talents in GCM. Hence, depending on your workload you might be expected to support other interns and colleagues across the organization.

You will receive continuous feedback on your work, and we will support you in building a network beneficial to your professional and personal growth.

Practicalities:

  • Internship period: 6 months (with the possibility of a 6-month extension)
  • Working hours: The internship position is flexible 18-37 hrs per week
  • Start date: 1st August 2022
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required
  • MSc. Student preferably not in the last semester of the studies

The working hours are flexible from minimum 18 to maximum 37 hours a week enabling you to combine an internship with lectures at university, project work or writing your Master’s thesis. It is an opportunity for a unique learning experience and a chance to turn theories into practice.

Qualifications
You are studying a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related fields.

  • Experience in operations management and/or Lean management and strong interest in digital tools such as RPAs
  • Structured and analytical approach to assignments, and you like to take on new challenges.
  • High level of drive and a “can-do-attitude”, taking initiative and have a good understanding of complex processes
  • Able work in an independent and are a quick learner
  • Cooperative in a professional manner with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation and bring a positive attitude to the department and projects you work on
  • You are fluent in English and a highly experienced user of MS office. Keen to deliver results and have a willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.
