Join us and become Onshore Export Cable Installation Engineer in our competent Export Cable Managers department where you’ll be part of a team responsible for the design, development and procurement of onshore export cable installation and landfall works, including Horizontal Directional Drillings (HDD). You’ll be involved in all engineering phases related to the onshore cable installation and ensure a viable installation solution towards the cable systems.

Your key tasks will be to

be the technical point of contact and manage procurement of civil works around the cable installation and the landfall HDD scopes within specific projects

provide technical support to the onshore cable route selection for our offshore wind farms in the early development phases as well as undertake the front-end engineering design (FEED) of cable routes

prepare the civil works tenders’ material for the onshore cable installation and review and ensure that the suppliers’ offer is of the correct quality and within scope and budget

prepare the technical solutions, ensure alignment with other parts of the projects, define technical requirements for the specific project and prepare tender materials

ensure that the quality assurance of the delivered products is within the specified parameters

continuously identify, analyse and manage project risks within the scope of work and report progress, including maintaining time schedules of activities within the scope. 

 
Furthermore, you’ll assist in the assessment and engineering of the landfall HDD locations and of installation methods to be used by preparing and implementing standard documentation tools. 
 
Your competences include that you

  • have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or electrical engineering, physics or similar
  • have experience within onshore cable installation – preferably combined with experience with HDD works and/or with high-voltage cables and accessories
  • have a problem-solving attitude, a team-working spirit and an outgoing personality as well as an international mindset
  • are a good communicator and speak and write English fluently
  • understand the use of GIS (Geographical Information System) systems used in route planning and are familiar with international cable standards: AWEA, CIGRE, IEC and ICEA
  • are an independent worker and a strong initiator with the ability to solve challenging issues within a complex matrix organisation.
