Would you like to join the wind turbine industry and help lead the green transition? At Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE), we are looking for a Noise Measurement Engineer for our existing Noise and Vibration Group. Our team consists of talented and committed people who have educations and experience in various engineering and technical disciplines. Your primary task will be to perform noise measurements and data analysis on wind turbines. You need technical insight, and it is important that you thrive in fieldwork as well as desk work.

For the right profile, there will be ample opportunity to develop in the position, both personally and professionally.

This position is based in Brande, Denmark.

How to contribute to our mission

Perform noise measurements in the field on wind turbines
Based on noise measurements and your knowledge of measurement technology, a measurement often also requires troubleshooting in the form of handling of measuring equipment and data communication with the wind turbine.

Data analysis
Our primary delivery is noise measurements (and data analysis) according to the standard IEC 61400-11. Understanding data and signal processing will be an advantage in the job.

Reportingand delivery of a task/ measurement
You are expected to follow a task to the end, which will often be a written and oral transfer of the results and more to the internal customer. We are in close cooperation with other noise-savvy people from e.g., aerodynamics and the blade group.

The job requires autonomy as well as the ability to work in a team. Our tasks can be quite independent, but we exchange knowledge a lot with each other.

What you need to make a difference
You have a B.Sc, M.Sc. or similar in acoustics engineer/ mechanical engineer/ electrical engineer or has other qualifying training or background

  • Likes both practical and theoretical work
  • You have a structured approach to your work and can handle simultaneous assignments without losing overview.
  • You possess the ability to work independently as well as in teams and you are good at collaborating with stakeholders at different areas of the organization
  • Is service minded and cooperative
  • You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing

It is highly important, that you are comfortable going out on sites, doing hands-on work and are able to communicate with different people.

You can expect travel days in this position.
