About the role
Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain & Operations, the New Product Introduction Manager will be heading the NPI department, influencing new product design to ensure Design For Manufacturing while developing and optimizing production processes to achieve new products cost, quality & manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Early impact on the design process to ensure Design For Manufacturing in all new UR products - you will be UR’s DFM owner
- Primary Operations project participant and gatekeeper in new product development projects
- Optimization of test and production processes as part of NPI - production lines, process automation & optimization etc.
- Scope, plan and drive automation projects for both new and existing processes and production lines
- Ensure knowledge sharing and feedback from NPI production back to development projects
- Department management for the UR NPI department consisting of both salaried employees and hourly workers
- Own and improve the PFMEA process in UR and participate in DFMEA reviews
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who can help reduce Time-To-Market through efficient and LEAN product introduction. A candidate, who can influence product design to ensure world-class products.
The ideal candidate has:
- 10+ years of experience in Design For Manufacturing and NPI process automation
- Experience in managing automation or NPI projects, ideally from a production company
- Higher technical education/engineering degree within production, mechanical or electronics
- Experience in production engineering, industrialization or production technology
- Fluent in English and preferably Danish in writing and orally
