Network Engineer - Operations

We are completely re-thinking our operational strategy for global WAN, LAN and factory shop floor networks - with you as a contributor for our global infrastructure operations. 
 
It will be your overall objective to improve the daily operations and performance around the world. Founded on your knowledge on network operations and your ability to create a stable and high-performing user experience, your first focus area will be, together with your colleagues, to maintain, improve and document our network considering our expanding use of cloud services and virtualized desktops and applications.  
 
In overview, your primary tasks will be to

• Further develop and maintain our LAN and Factory Shop Floor Networks 
• Organise data collection and use it to optimise the operations and how we use and support it 
• Create and update documentation (SOP) to improve our processes and procedures 
• Continually professionalize our way of working, strongly influenced by ITIL 
• Train your colleagues in Denmark, Malaysia and USA 
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support on network related issues globally 
• Daily Operations  
• Deploy, maintain and document virtualized firewalls and networks on VMware NSX 
• Work with related tools for documentation, troubleshooting (Netbrain) and monitoring (Solarwinds), netflow, network analyzers, etc  

Your Personal Profile 

• Skills equivalent of CCNP level applied in a Global Enterprise environment 
• 10+ years of work experience 
• Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is an advantage, but your passion and experience with network is most important. 
• You are ‘hands-on’ and can get things done in a supportable manner 
• You are Self-motivated, flexible, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
• You are true team player (friendly, polite, collaborative), open to feedback. 
• Fluent in English (Corporate language and used every day in the department) 
• You currently reside in Denmark and if you are not a Danish national you have a valid Danish work permit 

We are highly virtualized and are using Cisco, VMware, NSX, Arista, SANs etc. and although we run a large part of our systems ourselves, we also integrate with cloud-based services. We are 100+ competent and committed colleagues including 30+ outside Denmark.
