Are you interested in web development? And would you like to work, improve, experiment and learn more in an international, English-speaking environment alongside highly skilled colleagues?

Then take this opportunity to join a Digital Development team in a major Danish company north of Copenhagen to experience a very flat organisation that invest in staying at the forefront of technology.

Your challenges
In this role, you will be working on solutions for our online shops, marketing sites, mobile apps, B2B solutions and more. Our goal is to be our industry’s digital front runner. Your solutions will be used in more than 30 countries - and you will get plenty of support from colleagues and 3rd party teams onshore, near shore and offshore, so you can spend your time doing what you do best - developing digital solutions.

On a day-to-day basis, you will join a team of skilled back-end developers that utilise the newest technologies to build and improve services for our customers. Contributing to this, you will be involved in the entire process from idea to implementation, and you will have a great influence on the digital presence of the VELUX Group.

More specifically, we use Sitecore as our CMS and Solr for search, and we have built our own state-of-the-art commerce platform to support the 60+ shops we manage. In this environment, you will be sure to develop your skills, working with Sitecore as well as ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web Api, WCF, SQL or similar, MS Azure (and Application Insights) and mobile development.

Your qualifications
Personally, you are a self-starter who likes keeping up to date with the ever-changing world of the web. You thrive in a team environment where you can use your skills to make a difference. Last but not least, you have a structured and analytical approach to your work.

  • You have a background within computer science, IT engineering or similar and preferably 2 years of experience from a similar job.
  • You are a competent .NET (C#) developer who are used to web development and daily work in e.g. MVC, web services, SOAP, JSON, XML, Solr and SQL or similar and experience with one or more front-end frameworks e.g. Jquery or Angular is a plus.
  • You are familiar with the area of agile/Scrum development processes and the use of TFS/Git.
  • You communicate effortlessly in English.

Your opportunities
With the Digital Innovation team at our HQ in Hørsholm, north of Copenhagen, you join 14 motivated and creative colleagues, split between nine solution/business architects and five back-end developers. It is a very international team - with 6 nationalities - so you will be working across cultures in a local setting.

All in all, this is an excellent opportunity to support, influence and take an active part in developing the future VELUX Business - where you will have ample opportunity to influence your own development.

“An informal tone, respecting each other and having fun are important to us. And we truly believe in empowering people. That is why you can be sure that we will support you and your further development, so we can achieve great results together,” says Carl Nielsen, Manager of Digital innovation.
