We develop, produce and sell medical devices, which enable doctors and nurses to save lives and improve patient care. We are experiencing massive success and we are currently looking for a new talented Mechanical test engineer. We offer a challenging position where you will be an important player on the innovation team and you will participate in securing our ongoing dedication to quality products. You will be part of an effective innovation culture with a tradition for fast completion of projects, which means that there is a visible link between your results and Ambu’s growth.

You will be a member of our fast-growing Global Innovation team located at our headquarters in Ballerup. We focus on developing new products and processes that combine several technologies in a new and innovative way.

Your role in our new team
As Mechanical test engineer, your role will be to participate in product development projects from early prototype development to launch of new products. You will be responsible for all stages of test method development to measure low forces of e.g. friction, torque or tensile strength. It is therefore important that you have the creativity to develop new test setups but also that you have a hands-on approach and like to spend time in the lab.

It is important that you have a structured way of working and that it comes natural for you to document what you do. Some of our test activities are either outsourced to our own manufacturing plants or at external test partners. It is therefore important that you can lead these test activities in a global setting.

Your background
Preferably, you hold a bachelor or master’s degree in a mechanical field. As we are constantly expanding we are looking for talent with different levels of experience and depending on your experience we can offer the position as a junior position or as a senior position with more responsibilities. However, we expect you to have minimum 3 years of relevant experience with mechanical testing in a regulated industry.

Ambu is a fast-growing global company, and it is important that you thrive in a constantly changing organization and that you can manage test and verification activities in a global setup.

It is an advantage if you also have experience within one or more of the following topics: Design control for medical devices, 3D drawing, 3D printing or practical metal workshop experience.

As a person, you need to be highly analytical and be able to translate user needs as well as medical device standards into Ambu settings. It is important that you take ownership of your tasks and are well-structured and good at handling complexity while having a positive and constructive attitude.

It is a requirement that you can communicate on a high level in English both verbally and in writing. You also need to be prepared to travel approximately 5-10 days per year.

Ambu – a visionary and international workplace where your efforts matter
Ambu is a company that expands rapidly and has ambitious growth targets. We meet these targets through interdisciplinary teamwork among motivated and highly skilled employees. Your contributions and efforts are crucial to our success and by joining us, you will get the opportunity to work in an international head office with an informal working environment.

We offer a wide range of professional, social and financial employee benefits in addition to exciting job challenges and continuous professional and personal development.
