Are you interested in an exciting and technically challenging position in our R&D test team, based at our fast-growing headquarters? We are looking for an inventive, practical and self-paced mechanical test developer, and you might be our new colleague.
The test team is a central part of the R&D Services organization with a vision to develop, maintain and support the organization with high quality state of the art production test equipment.
As Mechanical Test Developer, you will be working in an interesting and interdisciplinary department, together with 12 specialists within the fields of test solutions, electronics, software, mechanics, optics, laser, X-ray and chemistry.
In this position, you will be working on advanced mechanical design and implementation of module test rigs, PCBA test jigs and documentation of these tests.
Furthermore, you will be programming tests scripts in NI TestStand, run-in the total test setup, preparing descriptions of user manuals in English and handover to our production in Hillerød and China.
Together with the test team, you are involved in R&D projects getting the needed deliveries and passing the different gates in the development process.
As Mechanical Test Developer and together with other core team members, you will be one of the main drivers in mechanical implementations. You will use your technical and practical skills to analyze, design, and build new mechanical test solutions for across the test team that fit into FOSS global production setup. Besides, you will be involved in programming, run-in and handover product test solutions, and prepare descriptions of user manuals in English for production in Hillerød and China.
We imagine you hold a relevant degree, for example as Mechanical Engineer or similar.
You have a good knowledge of mechanical design, 3D CAD and 3D printing.
You ideally have good experience with:
- Mechanical design
- 3D CAD (Inventor is an advance)
- 3D printing
- Programming (NI TestStand & NI LabVIEW is an advance)
- Flow systems
It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of low volume production test and HALT/HASS testing methods.
Since FOSS is a global organization, and as you will be writing documentation and descriptions in English, it is important that you have excellent English skills both verbally and in writing.
