Based on the continuously development in our business we are looking for an additional Mechanical Engineer working in our Large Bore Piping & Control department. You will develop and design various piping systems of the future. Moreover, you will be working with for LargeBore, two stroke cross head engines. Oil, water and gas systems are examples of components and systems you will be an expert in after a few years with us.

What am I going to do?
The design work takes place in cross-functional teams with a wide range of competences, as well as in smaller teams within the department. Ideas are discussed and designs are reviewed together with your colleagues. The primary design tools are CAD (Siemens NX), FluidFlow, FEA (Siemens Nastran / ABAQUS) and in house calculation programs.

In addition to components ready for production, you will also be involved in proto types for testing. The tests take place either at our own test facility in Copenhagen, at our partners in East Asia or on ships in service. Our LargeBore engines are produced in Japan, South Korea and China, and a few weeks of travels to these countries can be expected every other year.

Who am I?
You are structured and ambitious, with the ability to comprehend complex systems and develop P&ID’s from scratch, and with the ability to coordinate information and smaller development projects. You have good theoretical skills but practical mindset is also important, and with the ability to challenge our solutions.

If you feel interested and inspired by reading the above, you are well on your way to become a suitable candidate. If you also have an appropriate engineering degree, and a desire to work with designing components and systems, you should send in your application.

How is my new team/area of business?
In the Piping & Control, we are central for the complete engines systems. We design components to make our engines more efficient and enable them to run on new fuels, with less environmental footprint. In collaboration with other departments, and our customers, we take concepts and ideas and turn them into commercial design, ready for production.”

– Lars Danefeld, Head of Piping & Control.

You will be part of a team of 12 designers with a brought variety of backgrounds. We have an open culture; we thrive on challenges and support each other in an environment where we take united responsibility for our designs long after they have left the drawing board and entered service. In discussions, the ceiling is high and ideas can be lifted and analyzed together in a positive and constructive atmosphere.
