Our Mechanical & Process Engineering team is part of the Device Development team within our R&D organization, where we have gathered some of the most experienced engineers and audio enthusiasts. You will be part of the mechanical team with strong focus on wearing comfort and technology development both for in-ear and regular headset products. Naturally, you will also interface to our in-house mechanical, electro-acoustic, manufacturing, quality, and hardware engineers.

Being part of the Demant Group, we have a strong cooperation with Oticon within the area you will be operating, and you will have many interfaces both internally and externally.

Our new Mechanical Engineer
Within the mechanical team your focus areas will be wearing comfort, ear scan analysis, earpad and dome development as well as new stack-up concepts for in-ear devices all centered around user experience. Exploration of transducer and electronics integration in an ultra-small mechanical form factor is part of your daily work. Testing and analyzing data derived from empirical and computer simulated user tests, working with cross findings of comfort and product design is part of your focus area to achieve data driven design approach.

To succeed in the role, it is a strong advantage to be outgoing and creative, take initiative and find it easy to cope with changes. Since you will be responsible for driving our wearing comfort competence area, it is expected that you are good at managing a variety of assignments in a persistent and structured way.

The ideal candidate holds the following qualifications:

  • You come from a mechanical engineering background (could be Design & Innovation).
  • You have a deep interest in utilizing your analytical skills within statistical methods and data analysis.
  • Motivation of driving cross-functional projects within the Device Development team.
  • Knowledge of concept development methods and presentation of results e.g., using morphological schemes.
  • Basic knowledge of Creo.
  • It is a plus if you have worked with MS Access DB + MS power BI.

Your personal skills:

  • Structured, organized and with an outgoing attitude.
  • Thrives in a cross-cultural work environment with a broad contact base to different competence areas.
  • Great communicator in both written and verbal English.
  • Curious by nature and willing to explore new technological territory.
