Mechanical Engineer - Casting

With your mechanical background and your significant experience in casting, you will become a part of our R&D department, where you will work on new projects and development tasks. Opportunity to make an impact
In this new position, you will refer to our R&D Manager, Hardware, and be the centre for design of material to be aluminium casted. Hence, you will have significant responsibilities, which demand both a sense of detail as well as an overview. Your extensive network within the industry will be a benefit to you, and as you will manage more casting projects, you must be able to communicate efficiently and be true to deadlines.

Your tasks will include:

• Aluminium casting
• Designing mechanical material to be alu-casted
• Conceptualisation focusing on DFM, DFA and being serviceable
• Design of components in Autodesk Inventor
• Assignment and production start-up with suppliers
• Test and verification with regards to rules and standards applying (including the machine directive)
• Analyse and implement product improvements
• Calculation of strength

Professional qualifications
You are educated within mechanical engineering or similar technical education. You are experienced in designing and developing mechanical aluminium casting constructions. As we work internationally, it is essential that you are fluent in English in writing and speech.

You are able to work in a structured manner and to compare the solutions chosen against the demands we have specified for the product in cooperation with the rest of the organisation. 

You are able to acquaint yourself with complex areas and to use your cooperating skills to work cross-organisationally.

You are extrovert and thrive in an international environment. You work independently, are responsible for your own tasks and follow them through. You approach tasks in a positive manner and are accommodating, dynamic and able to see the big picture.
