The onshore Technology CAD team is looking for a bright mechanical engineer, who has the right balance between creativity and quality in all your solutions. We are a dedicated team, working in cooperation with stakeholders, to develop the onshore wind turbines, to power the future. In this position you will become a part of this and it will give you a high degree of influence on the direction and outcome of our R&D projects.
How to contribute to our vision
Our new colleague will contribute to our new product development in R&D projects with concept design in 3D, design of mechanical parts, systems and sub-systems, technical documentation like 2D drawings.
The tools used in the team is primarily Siemens PLM software (Team Center and NX) and Windows Office 365. The design will be documented by using tools like DMFEA, Design Risk Assessment, GPS, tolerance chain calculations among others.
In this position you will work in close cooperation with structural engineers, Service, HSE, Manufacturing, Procurement and other stakeholders. The keywords we are looking for in the design is safety, quality, cost, and timely delivery. Our design must take in to account the whole lifetime cycle of the turbine. From manufacturing of the parts, assembly in the factory, transport, erecting, 25 year of commission/service and decommission.
The team is primarily located in Brande, Denmark.

A candidate with a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with minimum 3 years of experience within product development and mechanical design engineering. Alternatively, you are a highly skilled recent graduate with an educational track record to show for it. Besides being an experienced user in 3D/2D (preferably NX Siemens PLM) you also have good knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, casting/forging and welding) and if you have a craftsman education as e.g. blacksmith, industrial technician, toolmaker/machinist or auto mechanic this is considered an advantage.
Things are sometimes going fast, so you are used to working in a highly dynamic environment and keeping deadlines in tight schedules. As a person you are a self-starter that can work structured, thrive with teamwork but also have the ability to work and perform at an individual level.
You have strong communication skills in both orally and in writing.
