Do you see yourself developing hearing aids, and do you find documentation to be just as exciting as the planning and execution of mechanical testing?

Join us at GN Hearing and work on developing our challenging mechanical solutions and performing thorough verifications before we launch our many products that help change lives.

Develop and improve products that change lives
At GN Hearing, we believe that hearing aid users should be able to HEAR MORE, DO MORE and BE MORE than they ever thought possible. Therefore, we develop innovative hearing solutions with great sound quality and excellent design. Our SMART hearing aid solutions are the most rewarded in the industry and has received more than 60 awards in the last few years. Among our latest innovations are ReSound LiNX3D™ and Beltone Trust™ - the world’s first full family of hearing aids with remote fine-tuning capabilities.

Join a passionate team
You will join our new mechanical team, located in Ballerup, consisting of 15 mechanical engineers who work to develop state-of-the-art hearing aids in the GN Hearing family from early concept to finished product.

“Solidarity and communication is central to our team as we work closely together to develop and optimise the vibroacoustic design of our hearing aids. We are passionate about our job, and we are proud of the working environment we have here at GN,“ says manager Alex Etwil.

Plan, execute and document
Your time will be divided between testing and development work. This includes developing mechanical constructions in our development projects and plans, coordinating and executing verification tests as well as coordinating the need for verifications. You will also ensure that the constructed parts meet internal requirements and follow standards and regulations for medical devices.

Key tasks include:

  • constructing mechanical parts in 3D CAD
  • planning and executing mechanical tests based on the project plan and maturity level
  • proactively defining and developing new test methods
  • systematically verifying and documenting the result of your development work as well as mechanical tests
  • presenting the result of your work to stakeholders and other R&D teams

Do you have what it takes to make GN Hearing even more successful?

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar qualifications
  • experience with mechanical design, testing and documentation
  • R&D experience within part development in plastic, metal and rubber
  • experience with using CAD, preferably PTC Creo
  • fluent English both spoken and written - other language skills are an advantage

It is an advantage if you have experience from the hearing aid, medico, telecom or similar industry and knowledge of ISO 13485:2016.

Documentation will be part of your daily life at GN, and this appeals to you. Structuring your work comes naturally as you balance the roles of expert, coordinator and communicator simultaneously. You dare to think differently and can inspire your team members to do the same to ensure continuous improvement of processes and products within mechanical development.
