Mechanical Designer for Powder Handling (2 vacancies)

GEA is looking for 10 ambitious mechanical, development, design, and process engineers and designers to build our powder handling team in Process Technology Center Drying and Powder Processing. We are currently building a world-class R&D hub, where you will join a team of skilled colleagues as our expert within powder handling documentation and components.
As one of two Mechanical Designers, Powder Handling, you will have key task in the successful tech transfer of our Powder Handling technology into the technology center in Søborg. First task for the team will be to establish a complete component overview within GEA’s powder handling technology through cooperation between designers and engineers within the team.
Document our project
As member of our mechanical team, you will work in project teams together with our Mechanical Engineers handling documentation in relation to our equipment. This entails creating and maintaining 2D and 3D workshop models of machinery components in Inventor as well as creating and maintaining BOMs and fully detailed drawing sets.
As you work closely with our project managers and our workshops in Germany, China, New Zealand and the US, will there be possible travelling of approx. 5-20 days per year.
Build your responsibilities as you build your knowledge
As you build your knowledge through one-on-one training, knowledge sharing and continuous development at conferences and seminars, you will also expand your area of responsibility. You will build extensive knowledge of powder handling, and in due time, you could take on the responsibility of your own range of components.
Experience with Inventor and mechanical design
As a person, you enjoy working with others and you possess excellent communication, collaboration and networking skills. You are self-motivated and understand the importance of moving projects forward and meeting deadlines.
- You probably hold a degree in mechanical design, production technology degree or similar, and you have experience with drafting and mechanical design.
- You have experience with Inventor, including parametric construction and iLogic, and it would be a plus if you are familiar with PAX / Bluestar, material mechanical properties and AutoCAD.
- You speak and write English fluently. Additionally, you speak Danish, or you are willing to learn.
