Ibsen Photonics A/S are looking for new engineers for our spectrometer R&D team, where we develop leading-edge, grating-based spectrometers, which we manufacture and sell to
international customers worldwide

We have 5-doubled our turnover since 2014, reaching sales of 141 MDKK in 2021, and employing close to 90 people at our R&D and manufacturing facility in Farum, close to Copenhagen.

We work closely with our customers to create value adding solutions, and work continuously to make our business as
competitive and sustainable as possible. Ibsen is ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified, and will soon be certified according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Join our team in developing new products and technologies. As Mechanical Design Engineer you will be an important part of our R&D team of 10 engineers. You will be co-responsible for design of mechanics for our spectrometers, production and test setups.

Your tasks will include:
Mechanical design of opto-mechanical systems, cabinets, production tooling and test setups for a broad range of spectrometers

  • Design for reliable and robust manufacture and operation
  • Validation and documentation of your work
  • Problem solving related to production and test
  • Project management and coordination

Your background and competencies
We are looking for this set of skills:

  • Engineer or similar education
  • Minimum 5 years experience with design of mechanics
  • Experience with mechanical design using Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical design for optical- or fine mechanical components
  • Experience with production-friendly design using epoxy and mechanical fixtures
  • Experience with GPS and tolerancing
  • A structured and fact based approach to your work
