Project Description
The 3Shape TRIOS intra-oral scanner is the front-runner in the digital revolution going on in the dentist clinics around the globe. Digital impression taking, and patient monitoring is becoming the golden standard within dentistry. This project is to utilize AR glasses allowing the dental professional to keep focusing on the patients mouth throughout the scanning process. In addition, we would like to explore the full power of introducing AR glasses to the dentist. We envision overlay of scan strategy and progress, patient monitoring data (previous scans, caries detection, etc.), CBCT scans (3D X-ray), drill guide for implantology, previous treatments, new treatment plans/design, etc.

Requirements
The project will last approximately 5 to 6 months and should be conducted as your master thesis project. You can write it alone or in groups. You should be a master student enrolled in the Computer Science, Software Development or other relevant programs. We expect from you to have a relevant knowledge and experience in the following fields:

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages, e.g. C# or C++
• Knowledge of AR (Augmented Reality)
• Basic knowledge of development of mobile apps, e.g., Xamarin, iOS, Android
