Manager, Engineering of Lime Kiln Technology Unit

Since Valmet started our lime kiln business in 2013, we have become the preferred supplier to the Pulp and Paper Industry. We are currently transforming the industry with intelligent solutions that enable our customers to become free of fossil fuels. Our business and organization have continuusly grown since our start and we are now looking for a Manager Engineering who can support the development of Valmet’s lime kiln technologies.
This is a unique opportunity for those looking for an engineering leadership role in an agile team, where each individual makes a difference for the business. As Engineering Manager, you will have overall responsibility for our engineering activities in both sales and projects from small service jobs to large new installations, as well as for our Industrial Internet and R&D activities. You will offer support and develop the team and our ways of working in line with Valmet’s strategic objectives. In addition, you may contribute some of your time to hands-on engineering tasks.
Our highly skilled and business-oriented engineering group works within E&I, layout and mechanical, and co-operates closely with other teams across Valmet’s global organization.
You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, piping and/or E&I engineering, as well as hands-on engineering experience. Preferably, you have solid experience of managing engineering teams and/or international projects to large-scale industrial investment projects. It is also beneficial to have experience in working with engineering tools like Comos, E3D, Solid Works, Enovia etc.
You are energized by the daily business that can be hectic and requires prioritization to meet the multiple deadlines, and you are also used to work in matrix organizations. Most importantly, you have the right drive and entrepreneurial attitude to co-operate and facilitate teamwork in an informal but competitive atmosphere with one main objective: To serve our customers in the best possible way.
Fluent English, both written and spoken, and excellent communication & networking skills are all prerequisites. Your location will be in Copenhagen, and the work will include some travelling.
