We are now hiring a Lead Systems Engineer you will be guiding the engineering and development of complex systems as well as be part of facilitating Systems Engineering transformation within both Offshore and Onshore.

How to contribute to our vision

As Lead Systems Engineer you will be leading the Systems Engineering agenda into Siemens Gamesa’s Offshore Technology R&D department. In this role you will be part of scoping, defining and realizing Systems Engineering Requirements as well as directly leading a small team of System Engineering Specialists. You will be identifying and defining the business requirements relevant for the area. Responsibilities will be to plan for both short- and long-term regarding the required management implementation plan.

In the role of Lead Systems Engineer, you will also be responsible for aligning and harmonizing the responsible area with both Onshore Technology and Offshore Technology. This role will have a close relationship with all organizations and departments. As Lead Systems Engineer you will provide suggestions and recommendations for what is needed in Systems Engineering within various projects.

Example of responsibilities:

  • Setting up implantations plans in R&D programs
  • Facilitate Systems Engineering transformation
  • Educate and mentor design departments regarding Systems Engineering
  • Maintain overall requirement management process

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

Engineering background from a relevant technical area with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience is expected. You have expertise within Systems Engineering, preferably within a relevant sector as Wind Industry or similar. Technical experience with systems as for example INCOSE is an advantage. As a person you are a independent, driven and proactive person who can bring on new initiatives or change where required. Since this role will be working closely across the whole business, you need to be a great communicator with good stakeholder management skills. You are someone that isn’t new to a complex organization and will thrive in providing new solutions. To truly thrive in this role, it’s expected to have successfully implemented change in companies before.

You should be fluent in English, having Danish as well would be an added plus.
