To support our continuous growth, we are looking for a structured and driven structural engineer to join our team in Vejle, Denmark. You will join the Secondary Structure team within Offshore Engineering.

How to contribute to our vision
The Tower Internals team is a global team of structural engineers located in Denmark, Germany and India. The team is responsible for Tower Internals in all offshore turbines being installed and developed.

This is your opportunity to help build a greener future in a global organization.

You will handle urgent issues on execution projects and determine when deviations to the specified design can be accepted and which measures are necessary to accept the changes. You will be the approver of reports for the entire team; therefore, you will have to ensure the quality across the team and mentor the colleagues who needs assistance in reaching the right quality level.

Additionally, you will help the team lead estimate amount of resources for different projects and budgets. Furthermore, you will be working independently on smaller projects or assist on large development projects in situations where the timeline is tight.

You will be interfacing with several other departments; it is therefore crucial to have excellent communication skills so you are able to explain issues to people of different backgrounds. Your experience with secondary structures of wind turbines will help ensuring that we develop the best towers in the industry.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Verifying steel structures analytically and with Ansys
  • Certifying structures at third parties.
  • Support development of tower internals from a structural perspective
  • Supporting projects with solutions for technical and manufacturing issues
  • Knowledge sharing within the team
  • Guidance of colleagues with less experience

What you need to make a difference

You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or something similar and want to be a part of the solution for green energy for generations to come.

You have at least 5 years of experience within the wind industry preferable with secondary structures and have excellent English skills both orally and in writing.

You can communicate your results in a clear and understandable way to both technical and commercial colleagues.

You are proactive and drive your work independently, but you also work well in cross functional teams. You have an eye for the details and a logical understanding of the models you work with and you enjoy mentoring colleagues.
