As a step into a greener future we are developing a modular converter for our products, with the goal of having as much commonality between the applications but also providing the needed flexibility to adjust to the different requirements. To support us in this goal we are using agile methods as well as implementing systems engineering approaches.
How to contribute to our vision
We are a small team responsible for the converter of our Offshore products as well as the Electromagnetic Compatibility, Lightning Protection and Grounding system of them. To strengthen our Modular Converter Team, we are looking for a Converter Lead Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for the technical package from inception through to delivery. You will coordinate and plan the technical activities together with the Product Owner and the team. Your will ensure that the solution technically meets all requirements. Problems evolving during design, validation and operation needing technical solutions will also be your responsibility. You will define and agree interfaces with other modules and the WTG platform itself. You will focus on delivering the technical solution together with the team by balancing, together with the Product Owner time/quality and cost.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for sound Engineering skills in Converter Design based on an educational background as Electrical Engineer, Master of Technology/Science, or similar with a focus on High Voltage Design, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Converter Design. You are systematic in your approach to the work and results oriented, being able to handle several tasks at the same time and communicate with different stakeholders from different design groups, prototype build etc. You are committed to your tasks and able to drive them through to completion. In our global environment we expect you to possess strong communication skills and excellent English skills orally and in writing.
