Lead Consultant for performance optimisation transition for Wind Power Operations

Do you want to drive continual improvements in safety, cost and asset performance?

Join us as Lead Consultant in the Programme Management Office where you'll support Ørsted Wind Power Operations’ transformation programme which involves business process and performance optimisation, simplification and industrialisation of the way we operate our assets across our 1,100 offshore wind turbines.

The programme was initiated in 2017 and is managed as a portfolio of several projects to transition our organisation into a high-performing way of working across all Operations. In parallel with project implementations, our key focus is on ensuring that already implemented improvements and processes sustain and that the production system is improved so it can maintain the increased production performance. You’ll work closely together with Operations’ senior management as well as project managers and teams in the project portfolio. You’ll be part of a strong team providing guidance, creating transparency, challenges and supporting different projects as part of our performance transformation programme.

Your key tasks will be to

  • act as a strong custodian for the production system via competent support, identification and challenge of related issues
  • support the business in achieving desired results via high-performing and competent guidance and collaboration across the different dependent functions to production
  • lead the way in the performance culture change in Operations with a process, standardisation and result-orientated focus
  • drive organisational efficiency and challenge and support the entire organisation, including the senior management team, in establishing an excellence culture, and deliver highly focused stakeholder management (internally and externally) through analysis.

Moreover, you’ll govern central processes in relation to risk, issue and dependency management and decisions for the programme execution. While actively engaging with projects to resolve timeline, scope and business case issues, you’ll support teams to ensure transparent project progress tracking. Lastly, you help drive issue resolution and give methodical guidance.

Your competences include that you

  • have a proven ability to dive into an organisation and drive change and have extensive experience from a large global company; experience as an internal or external consultant is an additional advantage
  • have experience on managing programmes for transformation of core business process changes
  • preferably have experience from a managerial position
  • are able and eager to provide immediate sparring and guidance at all levels of the business
  • have strong analytical skills and can transfer the insight from this into strongly linked commercial and operational execution.

Furthermore, you have a degree in business, economics, engineering or similar. You have strong people leadership and conflict resolution skills and adhere to lean methodologies and philosophies. Finally, you speak and write English fluently, have strong communication skills and can create good relationships with your stakeholders.
