Would you like to work in an international development centre focusing on developing new technologies to be used in products and processes across the VELUX® portfolio?

Join a company that is willing and able to explore new initiatives. And work with specialists as you drive development projects and play an important part in developing our products and business.

Your challenges
Joining the Material & Product Technology team in Østbirk, you will be responsible for paving the way for new technical solutions that can feed into end products. This gives you a chance to focus on a range of different material technologies. Project management is front and centre in your job, and you will run several projects at a time which focus on developing both existing and new products.

At the beginning, you will have one specialist in each project and be responsible for small scale projects and a project team of participants from various parts of the Technology and Product Development department. But as your experience grows, so will the size of your projects. Moreover, you will play an active role in each project yourself and involve our internal materials specialists, external consultants, suppliers etc. when needed.

Being the spearhead of and motivating each project team to create great results, you will:

  • Be in charge of project planning, stakeholder management, forecasting and budgeting, including continuously updating the business case
  • Support material specialists in planning and structuring the assignments according to the overall project plan
  • Secure focus on technical aspects as well as on the business potential of new technology concepts
  • Ensure that the new technology lives up to quality requirements and our high VELUX standards
  • Present project status for steering groups

”It takes patience to gain an understanding of how 40+ countries come together and bring light to life. You will have to collaborate across the organisation, and it will take you travelling 10-20 days per year, giving you a truly international work environment,” explains Marie Stenild, Senior Manager, Material & Product Technology.

Your qualifications
You have a structured and analytical approach to your work, and you can handle several projects at a time, while prioritising your efforts optimally. Also, you are good at planning, taking all unknown factors into consideration. With your energy and drive, you are ready to take the lead and show the way towards project completion - and you know that the foundation of successful teamwork is based on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • You probably have a technical background as an engineer, perhaps with some experience as a technical project manager. However, if you have recently graduated, you are also more than welcome to apply.
  • You have an interest in materials within one or more of the following fields: metal, polymer, glue, foam, sealants or similar.
  • Maybe you are also know one or more core material categories; metals, glue, insulating materials, plastics or composites.
  • It is a plus if you have experience with Microsoft Projects and/or systems such as WindChill.
  • You have strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.

Your opportunities
In your new team, Material and Product Technology, we work on new materials, technologies and products which will make a real difference to our customers. You will join 4 colleagues and specialists with a strong focus on sustainability who are ready to share their knowledge and help you settle in.

”You will join a family-owned company that is ready to invest in and take a chance on both talent and great ideas. I think we are privileged in that way. Also, with a large organisation comes great development opportunities in an open, international environment,” Marie finishes.
