Junior Project Manager for Ramboll’s Signalling Department in Copenhagen

At Ramboll we are working on some of the largest ERTMS signalling programmes. The main target of ERTMS is to promote the interoperability of trains in EU by replacing former national signalling equipment and operational procedures with a single new Europe-wide standard for train control and command systems ERTMS. We are engaged in all aspects and stages of the projects, from the development of operational concepts, and technology, to business change, and organisation. Due to our success, and the general growth in the ERTMS market, we are currently looking for a Junior Project Manager.

Your responsibilities as Junior Project Manager
As Junior Project Manager in Ramboll you will be involved in a wide variety of international projects, and in close cooperation with the Project Manager you will help ensure the successful delivery of our projects.

Your main responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for managing and delivering minor work packages
  • Participate in project and resource planning
  • Support with documentation management and administrative tasks
  • Support with the organisation of visits to Denmark from international clients
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings and workshops
  • Generate reports and presentations
  • Contribute to pursuits and proposals of varying complexity and size
  • Ensure development and transfer of knowledge and experience to the team

You and your competencies
We imagine you have an engineering degree or similar within electronics, systems engineering or IT. You have proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. You have a good understanding of project management processes and systems engineering in general and it is an advantage if you have some knowledge of one of the railway signalling domain: Interlocking, Traffic Management System, European Train Control System (ETCS), GSM-R, Fixed Transmission Network, Railway operation.

As a person you are responsible, systematic and focused on solutions and outcomes. You have excellent communication skills (written and oral). You are a team player, flexible, comfortable of taking the lead, working collaboratively with teams, peers and clients. You appreciate working in an informal working environment, where you have a considerable influence on your own working day.
