Job description
WasteHero tech stack consists of the following technologies; React.js, JavaScript, Python, Django, REST API, GraphQL, amongst others. The platform harnesses machine learning to optimize every aspect of waste management, such as route optimization and prediction of container fullness. In your role as a JavaScript developer, you will help with building scalable platform views, and be included in processes from designing, developing, and maintaining the views. Your daily tasks could be draw from the following list of examples:

Get responsibility for developing new features from scratch to functional tools for our users
Hands-on experience with modern data processing practices
Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, developers to implement and improve our platform, which includes features like Asset management, Fleet Management, Operation Management, etc.
Participate in daily SCRUM meetings

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with working with technical and non-technical people
Fluent in JavaScript, CSS and HTML
Experience with responsive design and follow the recent web trends
Feel comfortable with learning the following stack: Bitbucket, Jira, React, GraphQL, REST API, ant.design
You’re excited about designing intuitive front-end experiences

What you need to know
The internship is unpaid and full-time to fit with your University's requirements. The internship runs for five to six months, depending on your needs. We are always interested in hiring interns afterwards, either as student workers or full-time employees, so there are plenty of opportunities for work after the internship, based on performance. Start date: between August - September 2022. Duration: between five to six months.
