Are you passionate about developing, improving, and maintaining core IT infrastructure? Are you an expert on computers and their hardware, software, and networks. If so, you might be the colleague we are looking for to join Global IT at Palsgaard.

At Palsgaard, we have set out on an ambitious growth journey to double our production capacity over the next couple of years. Part of that journey is to rethink our global business processes; hence we have decided to implement the ERP software solutions, Dynamics 365, – a large business project starting in the beginning of 2023.

You will be part of our highly qualified, global IT team of 15 dedicated IT professionals. A team where we value an informal environment and pursue strong collaboration to achieve our goals and have fun while doing so - we always support each other in getting the job done. We value personal development and offer the opportunity to take on other responsibilities as you develop in the role.

You will report directly to Peter Frøkjær, Manager of IT Infrastructure & Operations, and the position is placed at our headquarter in Juelsminde (DK) where you will experience a flexible workday, including the opportunity to work from home. As we work on a global scale, the position may require traveling days to our more than 10 different sites around the globe.

“This is an excellent opportunity to join our company and be part of our journey into global expansions on both the systems and hardware landscape. The position is an excellent opportunity for you to influence and be a key contributor to the future Palsgaard IT landscape” says Peter Frøkjær.

As our new IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all technological systems in our business are functioning properly. The role also includes the preparation and co-ordination of IT infrastructure design documentation for the development of projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Network infrastructure, firewall, network architecture, Wi-Fi, VMware, PRTG
  • IT infrastructure operations (on premise and Cloud)
  • Support and monitor our different systems and services according to ITIL-principles

Other responsibilities:

  • IT Cloud – Microsoft Azure technology and platforms
  • IT security with colleagues
  • Support IT infrastructure and system owners
  • Part of our 24/7 on-call duty scheme after onboarding

What do you need to apply?
Our ideal candidate holds an IT background such as for example MSc or BSc degree within IT, Computer Engineering, Information Technologist with focus on network infrastructure or equivalent at least +5 years of professional work experience with a combination of an associate degree in this area.

You are a self-starter with a curious mindset and a constant focus on making progress. As you will be working with internal and external stakeholders about a variety of technical issues and explain implemented or desired changes, you have great interpersonal skills, and communicating at multiple levels is easy for you.

Additionally, you have a structured way of working, are good at critical thinking and therefore able to troubleshoot systematically.

As we work within a global scope, excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Danish are required.

What do we offer you?

  • A job with unique working conditions, including one extra week of holiday (7th week), health insurance, and possibilities for further career development etc.
  • A job with profit sharing through an extra pension scheme.
  • A job in an expanding company that combines technological knowledge with practical value generation.
  • A position with great influence on decisions about the future global system landscape
  • A job in an international environment with clients, partners, and colleagues all over the world.
  • A job in a market leading company with high CSR standards and CO2 neutral production.
  • A job in a socially well-functioning atmosphere and informal environment.
