Are you looking for an internship in an innovative and forward-thinking software company, where you have the chance of making a difference by designing simple and usable software solutions for our customers within healthcare, the armed forces, the police, public institutions and the library and learning sector?

Involved in all stages of the development process
As a User Experience intern, you will be part of a skilled team consisting of project managers, IT-architects, software developers, visual UI designers and qualified user experience designers.

During the internship, you will be involved in all stages of the development process from initial design meetings with customers to test of the total design concept. During this process, you will be a valuable link between our users and customers on one side, and our team of developers on the other, as you will take part in transforming the needs of users and customers into a design of the final solution’s user interface.

You will be working with one or more of our applications, web and/or internet and mobile solutions where you will be dealing with domain knowledge and interaction design. Depending on the specific project you are affiliated, you will be working with the following type of tasks:

  • Analysing, sketching and prototyping
  • Drawing up of low fidelity paper prototypes and high fidelity interactive prototypes
  • Defining solution design with interaction and navigation principles
  • Creating information design and information architecture
  • Performing usability test and quality assurance
  • Collaborating with customers and software developers in making a design in scope of the budget and the technical platform
  • Planning, executing and evaluating field studies
  • Drawing up of user profiles and user scenarios
  • Arranging, facilitating and analysing workshops grounded in User Centered Design (Human-Computer Interaction)

The internship will last 5-6 months from August/September 2018. As a rule, the internship is a fulltime position, but we are of course flexible with regard to your study programme and requirements in terms of ECTS points. The position is paid, as long as this does not contradict your educational institution’s regulations.

Proactive and user-oriented
You are studying a relevant Master’s degree with a User Experience focus. We are looking for a User Experience Designer who is curious, outgoing, responsible, organized and able to convert theory into practice. You are able to listen to both our users’ and customers’ needs where you question preconceived opinions and contribute with inspiring input. You are able to work independently but also as a part of a team. We emphasise to do things as simple as possible and as an intern in Systematic you will take a part in creating innovative solutions with a focus on user-friendliness.

Freedom with responsibility
As an intern, you are treated like any other Systematic employee and will, from day one, be part of a team and be part of solving the tasks that the team has. To a large extent, you are responsible for planning your own work day and after a thorough introduction to the project and domain, you will be able to independently solve your own tasks in the team. It is important to us to facilitate your professional and personal development. We do our best to ensure a match between your personal wishes, the formal requirements associated with your studies and our expectations and priorities.

We work with security-classified projects, and therefore, you as an employee at Systematic need to have security clearance. Read more here: http://systematic.com/clearance.
