The position
You will be a part of Global Prevention and Health Promotion, Cities Changing Diabetes (www.citieschangingdiabetes.com) where you will support project managers in the “Cities Changing Diabetes” program in day-to-day business processes and tasks.

In this role you will work with:

  • develop evidence to address strategic questions
  • work with team members on ad-hoc analyses
  • communication tasks
  • assist with planning/development/implementation of activities such as global campaigns, innovation challenges, and public health interventions 

Qualifications
You are currently studying for your master’s degree in global/public health, economics, anthropology, urban planning, or another relevant field. General knowledge of health services research-related disciplines and key methodologies (database analysis, systematic literature reviews, cost analyses, intervention design, and evaluation) is preferred.

To succeed in this internship you need to:

  • be fluency in both oral and written English
  • have the ability to manage a large volume of projects (with supervision)
  • have excellent interpersonal skills 
  • have a strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your learning

You are a person with a strong personal drive and dedication. We expect you to be service-minded, thrive in a busy environment, and bring a can-do attitude. 

About the department
In Global Prevention and Health Promotion, Cities Changing Diabetes (www.citieschangingdiabetes.com) is Novo Nordisk’s global platform to address urban diabetes, including the risk factors in urban areas that lead to the growing rate of people with diabetes and obesity in cities. After a successful launch in more than 40 cities around the world, we are working to drive the implementation of the scientific, communication, and advocacy agendas related to urban diabetes and the prevention of obesity. In 2022, the key priorities are to drive the program forward in current and new partner cities, capacity building in selected cities, planning of events and masterclasses, and supporting new pilot projects. This is part of Novo Nordisk’s overall ambition to Defeat Diabetes.

Internship practicalities:

  • Internship period: 6 months
  • Working hours: 37 hours/week
  • Start date: 1 September 2022
  • Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required
